Hello Everyone
As many of you are aware, we had a general youth meeting last Sunday August, 8th, 2010. The next general youth meeting will be on Sunday September 5, 2010. For now I give a basic overview of SPYC activities in the month of August.
The submission deadline for the Volume 11 Seraphim is Sunday August 15, 2010. It is strongly recommended for all youth to submit a piece.
The Fast preceding the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary begins on the Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 and ends on Sunday, August 15th, 2010, which is the day we celebrated the Assumption of St. Mary. Another name for this lent is the Shunoyo Lent. It is strongly recommended that all youth members participate in this lent.
In addition, this Saturday, August 14th, 2010 at 10:00 am, we will be host a youth prayer meeting with the church as the location. I hope everyone can come out for this event.
Furthermore, next Sunday August, 15th, 2010, we will be holding a Collection Day after Holy Qurbana. Generally, we will be collecting money from youth for youth dues and finish collecting money from people who haven't paid for the Plant Sale and the Conference Shirts. This Sunday will be the last week to pay dues in order to get the youth t-shirt as well. If you wish to volunteer and help out, please contact the Treasurer Boby Abraham (

Moreover, SPYC will start collecting any pictures, videos, or any other media to place in both the youth gallery and the church gallery. The file can be of any event during any year that is connected to the church, and please mention, if possible the event origins (event, year, location, etc...). If the file is too large to send but it is on an online gallery, please forward the link and allow us to download it. If it is in a picasa album, please send a share invite with the option of (Let people I share with contribute photos ) checked to
saintpetersyouthclub@gmail.com. Please forward all media whether links or the files themselves to
saintpetersyouthclub@gmail.com.
Regarding the attachments, the first attachments is a .pdf containing the list of events planned for the year (Outside of August, most are finalized and may be subjected to change) and the .png file contains the image for the front of the 2010 youth shirt.
